Sowetoo Bicycle Extension with BookiBhoni:

Discover Soweto on Two Wheels!

In collaboration with BookiBhoni, Soweto Tours now offers an immersive one-hour guided bicycle tour through the heart of Soweto. This unique experience lets you hop off the Red Bus at the Hector Pieterson Memorial, switch to a bicycle, and explore vibrant local routes before ending at the historic Nelson Mandela House.

How it works:

  1. Start Your Journey

Begin by boarding the City Sightseeing double-decker Red Bus from your location, connecting to the Soweto Red Bus at Gold Reef City.

As part of your regular Soweto and city combo package, you’ll enjoy hop-on, hop-off access to explore key stops in the area.

  1. Hop-Off for the Bicycle Tour

When you arrive at the Hector Pieterson Memorial stop, you can choose to extend your adventure with the Bookibhoni Bicycle Experience.

For an additional R150, enjoy a live-guided, one-hour bicycle tour showcasing some of Soweto’s most captivating sights, ultimately concluding at the Nelson Mandela House.

  1. Return and Continue

After the bicycle tour, you can rejoin the Soweto Red Bus at the Nelson Mandela House stop, which will take you back to Gold Reef City.

From there, you can board the City Sightseeing double-decker Red Bus to return to your original location, such as Rosebank or other northern area
